Our "pop-up" campsite in 2021 proved popular with our guests, and for 2022 we are have added a Shepherd Hut and Gypsy Wagon for those that want a little more luxury. For the 2022 season we have also added facilities, including additional toilets, showers and washing up facilities.
Our glamping huts are fully insulated and heated for year round use, and have a kitchenette with fridge, hob, microwave, toaster and kettle, as well as all crockery and utensils.
Campers can pitch their tents amongst the trees in the orchard, or in the open paddock behind. Peaceful and picturesque "boutique camping" for those looking for something a little different. We even have an XXL tent set up and ready for you to hire, to make the camping that little bit easier.
Bookings for the camping can be made through our partners at Pitchup.com, or you can book the huts direct with us.
Enjoy camping, but want a little more luxury? Our Gypsy Wagon sleeps 2; a perfect spot for an adult get away, or book a tent pitch alongside for the kids while you enjoy the comfort of a proper bed (and so much more).
The Shepherd Hut is designed to be able to sleep 4, but best enjoyed as a couple's getaway. Camping, but with a luxurious twist! The main bed will be made ready for your arrival, and the hut contains cooking facilities and all crockery and utensils needed. The second double bed is made from the seating area, and comes with double air matress (but bring your own sleeping bags or bedding).
On site we have a large childrens play area, large pond, and several acres of meadow with footpaths all around. Beyond our site there is a network of both private and
public tracks and trails that cover this area so you can leave your car here and walk for hours through beautiful countryside. Roads are quiet and ideal for cycling or strolling.
Obviously being in the country there is a wealth of fauna and flora on the doorstep. Birdwatchers flock (excuse the pun) to East Anglia for the varied species of feathered friend on show. At Whitehouse Farm we have numerous resident common, and not so common, birds such as woodpeckers, various species of owl, and birds of prey who visit regularly. The wildlife includes deer, muntjack, hares, and bats amongst others.
