Holiday Cottages, Glamping & Camping in Suffolk

Self Catering Holiday Cottages, Glamping & Bijou Campsite

Situated in 6 acres of beautiful East Anglian countryside, just to the East of Bury St Edmunds with its historic Cathedral, boutique shopping, and numerous award winning restaurants, lies Whitehouse Farm. In the heart of Suffolk, gloriously peaceful, a perfect place to get away from it all. Although secluded, we are only a mile outside the village with its picturesque 15th Century church and the Maypole pub, only two miles from the neighbouring village with shops, pubs and train station, and only 15 minutes from Bury St Edmunds itself.

Less than 2 hours from London by road or train, and easily accessible from the Midlands and the North.

Enjoy an evening sitting under the blossom, drinking a glass of wine, listening to the countryside, while the ducks swim on the pond, and the deer, hare and rabbits roam around the surrounding fields. For the more active of you, there are countless miles of public footpaths, and extremely quiet country lanes to cycle, where you are as likely to share the road with horse riders, tractors, and other cyclists, rather than the usual cars, lorries and buses.

We also accommodate well behaved dogs who would be welcomed by our own pets Jess and Kim. Lower Farm Lodge, Little Oaks and Cherry Trees cottages all have fully fenced gardens, and all have immediate access to a network of private and public footpaths from the doorstep.

On site we have a children's play ground, 25 metre swimming and recreation pond, a 1km training loop around the property, access to numerous walking/running tracks, trails and public footpaths, and a large sauna to help you ease away the stresses and aches of modern day life.

What People Say?

"Great place, great location and great hosts. My new favourite place."

— Michelle from Manchester

"White House Farm is pure bliss!
We received a warm welcome from Rob when we arrived, and while walking around the grounds he took the time to stop and have a chat.
Our party consisted of 2 adults 2 children and a happy lil staffy, who made friends with the other children on site. It’s the perfect place for the first time campers and to take the children. Children have the freedom to explore in a safe environment, it is practically enclosed.

The facilities are amazing, hot clean showers and toilets and washing up facilities, everything has been thoroughly thought out to make your stay here as comfortable as possibly. The communal firepit was bonus and wood sold onsite is at a very reasonable price, they also have a BBQ for guests use. The pitches we stayed on were flat and surrounded by wild flowers. The wildlife noises at night, glorious. We will definitely be coming back! We didn’t get a chance to use the sauna, it’s on our bucket list, not sure about the cold swim after though. Thank you for a great welcoming stay."
